Stockholm’s largest hotel is located in the heart of Stockholm city adjacent to the Central Station and Arlanda Express as well as near all the best of Stockholm’s favourite spots. It all started with the idea to create a unique, timeless, first-class hotel. By combining the best of Scandinavian architecture and design it would create a source of inspiration for the guests. A collection of icons in their areas that together would celebrate Scandinavia!
The renowned Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh, sketched his vision of an facade stooping hotel building which creates a spectcular view. Dominated by granite and glass, it leans over the square, reflecting the green park.
The interior was provided by Scandinavian design icons, such as Arne Jacobsen, Bruno Mathsson and Alvar Aalto. Wander around the hotel and discover world famous furniture, such as Egg, Wave and Lily, classic pieces that have been around for up to 50 years and will stay the same for another 50, at least. All over the hotel you will find beautiful black and white photography art by well known Scandinavian photo artists. Enjoy the art!
The eighth floor of the hotel holds Selma CitySpa+, one of the first spa in Scandinavia and a concept from beautiful Sunne in Sweden. Indulge yourself in the sauna, the gym, with a spa treatment and in the heated outdoor pool, all with a fantastic view of Stockholm.
At our new and exciting restaurant American Table we invite you to a cocktail, have a small bite or eat a long dinner with your family, friends, or both. The inspiration for this concept, as one might imagine from the name, is taken from the U.S. We were inspired and influenced by the diversity found in the art, food culture, literature and music of America. The multiplicity of languages and people, which we think reflects the American way of life, is something you as a guest will recognize in our beverages and food menus. Then, add some fine Swedish ingredients and you have: American Home Cooking – cooked with Swedish constituents.
Discover the best of Scandinavia, right in the middle of Stockholm!
